I created a Contributor Group, but I do not see it available in the Contributor Group filter criteria in an APM Portal chart?

Solution

A Contributor Group is a matchstring value that filters the host (UrlHost) information in object level test data.

The UrlHost is one of three components of a URL in object level information.

Here's a breakdown a URL seen in a Web browser:

http://www.wyltstmc.com/about/search/?q=HHGTTG

UrlHost
http://www.
wyltstmc.com

UrlPage
/about/search/

UrlParam
?q=
HHGTTG

For this URL, the Contributor Group match string must be defined as a unique portion of %www.
wyltstmc.com% that matches the UrlHost data.

For a test that includes this URL, the Dynatrace Portal automatically filters the collected data and
only displays data for matching Contributor Groups.

If a different Contributor Group defined a match string for UrlHost such as %www.google.com%, the related Contributor Group would not appear as an option when this UrlHost does not appear in the existing object level data for the selected test.
