  • Dynatrace Recorder

Every Synthetic Monitoring test is assigned a unique identification number, or Monitor ID. Knowing the Monitor ID is useful when reading data feeds (e.g., FTP, XML, or Web Services), because the data feeds don't display the test's name.

To get a test's Monitor ID, use the Dynatrace Recorder:

  1. In the Recorder, select File > Open (remote).
  2. Log in using your Dynatrace Portal username/password.

The Open from Dynatrace Platform screen lists all scripts uploaded to your account in the Dynatrace Portal, with their Monitor IDs. If a script is active, a test is provisioned using that script, and the Script Name column lists the test name. You can find a test by using the search filter or by sorting the Script Name column.
