Symptoms

We are able to filter Synthetic Classic tests from our traffic monitoring by using Synthetic Classic agent strings in our weblogs. How can we relate a test failure to our weblogs?

Solution

Most companies that have Synthetic Classic also have some other traffic monitoring tools. These tools typically capture session information for each visit to the tagged pages in weblogs.

If you have Screen Capture on Error (SCoE) activated for your Synthetic Classic tests, you can use SCoE files to locate failed test runs in your weblogs.

In the SCoE's header data, the session IDs should have been captured when cookies were set during the test run. These session IDs will look something like:

Set-Cookie: JSESSIONID=00009ZC...
Set-Cookie: ASPSESSIONIDCCTQ...
You should be able to match these session IDs to your weblogs.
