When you chart a test in the Dynatrace Portal, you can select any of the following calculations:
- Standard Deviation
- Raw Data
Standard deviation measures how far apart the values in a data set are. If there are multiple data points around the mean (or average), then the standard deviation is small. If, however, there are multiple data points further away from the mean, then the standard deviation is large. Standard deviation is defined as the square root of the variance.
A chart configured for Standard Deviation displays the standard deviation for all of the test's nodes. The value will be large if the results from the testing nodes are varied; the value will be small if the results from the tests are close together.
