The overall availability for my test is 99.46%. But at the step level, the availability is higher than 99.46%. How can this happen?


When the test fails because a step failed, the availability for the test goes down. At the step level, the availability for successful steps is not affected by the failed steps, so the availability for steps may be higher than the overall availability for the test.

Availability is calculated as follows:

Test   sum [(number of successful test runs)/ total test runs]*100

Single Step – sum [(total steps) - sum (failed step)]/sum (total steps)] * 100
