Fastpack Download (for 5.5 or higher) contains:
The Apache Server Performance Dashboard enables you to easily monitor one or multiple Apache Monitors. It shows you
The Apache Anormalies Dashboard enables you to easily monitor average worker utilization as well as incidents. It shows you
The Monitor uses the Apache Server Status page provided by mod_status to gather its metrics. It monitors:
For more information please see the Apache Monitor Plugin page.
The Apache HTTP Server FastPack contains everything to get started with Apache HTTP Server monitoring.
Just download and import the FastPack on your Dynatrace Server (see Plugin Management)

Is this supported by CompuWare?
Whoops - just saw not supported.
Its not supported because it is a community plugin. I know its been used a lot - so - feel free to give it a try
Is this plugin dependent on an agent being deployed to the Apache instance?
I installed it, and can see the desired stats on the Apache Server Performance Dashboard for an Apache that already had an agent installed. I then added a Host(another Apache server) to the Infrastructure configuration for my DT server. I can see this second host in the Dashboard's filters, but there is no data recorded.
According to the fastpack's logs, it is only checking the status for the Apache server that has an agent installed. Is there a way to configure it to check Apache instances that don't have agents installed, or will I need agents on each Apache that I want stats from?
The FastPack uses our Monitoring Infrastructure to pull that data from Apache. It is independant from our Agent. We just recently added the Host and Process Monitoring capabilities to our Apache Agent. So - starting with dynaTrace 5 you may not longer need the FastPack as the Web Serer Agent already provides some of the metrics. With dynaTrace 5.5 there is even more data that we provide.
As said before FastPack provides some additional metrics that the Agent will not deliver. So - its up to you to decided whether you also need that Apache Monitor
did you add the second Apache host to the Hosts part of the Monitor configuration (see https://apmcommunity.compuware.com/community/download/attachments/94767252/monitor_editor.png - the list at the bottom).
Adding the second host to the infrastructure configuration is the first step, but you still have to tell the monitor to actually execute against this host. Could you please verify that (or maybe post a screenshot how your monitor is setup)?
Thank you Wolfgang. This is what I was missing. It is working as expected now.
Is this plugin compatible with dynaTrace 5.5?
This plugin captures information that is not available out of the box with 5.5.
Hi Daniel. Just uploaded a new version for 5.5. Please give it a try and let us know if it works for you
Is this plugin compatible with dynaTrace 5.6?
Does it support new version for dynaTrace 6.0, Thanks!!
I will forward this question to the author. But it should work just fine as nothing has changed from the FastPack interface in 6.0 that would prevent this to work
