Installation

  • On the dynaTrace server side, import the plugin jar file and activate the plugin (see Plugin Management).

  • Then, you need to add the Growl Action Plugin in the 'Extended Actions' of each of the incidents you want to generate Growl alerts for.

In Growl's settings, you can configure how you want to display different severities:

    In my Growl which i am using on the same machine ,the application list is empty ?Can you please help

    a first notification from dynaTrace is required to register the application in Growl.

    After you send your first incident to Growl, you should see dynatrace appear in the list.

    I did send many incidents but it always remain empty ,i also specified the port 23053 in the host textbox as 127.0.0.1:23053 but it still does not work.

    I tested with Growl 2.0.9.1 on Windows and it works for me. 

    I just specify locahost, with no port, in the plugin configuration

    I just tried again with dT 5.6. 

    Make sure Growl does not require a password for local apps.
