    Hi Reinhard,

I am very interested in finding out more about the Hybris plugin.
What versions of Hybris will it support and are there are any limitations in what can be monitored from Hybris?

does anything change with DT 5.0 for this fastback?

Is this plugin supposed to deploy any sensors? I can't see any in the system profile...

    1. Anonymous (login to see details)

Dont think it does. All dashboards are based on measures or BTs that do not rely on any customer sensors

The new Cron Jobs Dashboard requires some sensors for the hybris framework

        Hi,

since it is only "some" sensors, I assume the impact/overhead is quite low? Can I use it unmindful in a DT 5.6 production environment where the server is not at its limits? Or are these sensors anyway not included in fastpack 2.0 for DT 5.6?

        Best regards,
        Dennis

          Dennis,

this is totally built and tested for production, both versions.

    Server log is returning this:

Caused by: com.dynatrace.diagnostics.util.modern.MaximalVersionMismatchException: Version mismatch: Version '5.6.0.5802' is not supported. The highest supported version is '5.5.0.5562'.

when I tried to to install the fastpack 2.0 on dynaTrace server 5.5.0.

Any idea what I am missing here?

Thanks for letting us know. I took a quicklook at the fastpack and it seems that a a few of the included dashboards and profiles reference to a newer dynatrace version. I can't change the fastpack right now but if you manually extract the fastpack and check the dashboards/*.dashboard.xml files there are a few dashboards with a dynatrace version 5.6 and others with 5.5. It shoudl be safe to change that to 5.5.0.0000 in all dashboard files.

Also the profiles/Production.profile.xml has a dynatrace version of 5.6 set. Please also edit manually to change this to 5.5.0.0000 and you shoudl then be able to import the profile manually.

BTW: dynaTrace 5.5. will be de-supported with the next release (this December) so you might want to consider upgrading to a recent version.

        Reinhard,

Thanks for the quick response! Your fix worked and I was able to install it successfully. The measures, business transactions, and dashboards are all there.

However, the plugin is not listed in the list of installed plugins at the dynatrace server settings. Is this expected?

And yea... I am aware of dynatrace 5.5 being de-supported and have plans for migration to maybe version 6.0 or 6.1

Great the manual edit worked for you. Sorry again for this little glitch in the fastpack version.

As the plugin is not really a plugin with executable code you will not see it listed in the other plugins section. The fastpack merely uses the plugin mechanism to deploy these config files to the server.

            I see.

In that case, your fastpack is working fine.

Once again, thanks for the assistance.

    Hi,

I really like this fast pack. It makes a lot of things easier.

One thing is, that the solr request performance dashboard uses non existent measures. You renamed the solr request to (\y) solr request.

The second thing is, that we have no solr transaction up to now. There is even no purepath count on this application. Are there any things, we have to consider?

    Jan

      Hi Jan,

thanks for pointing the issue with the SOLR Request BT out, will adress that in a new version!

Are you using SOLR in your hybris environment at all? Usually a plain hybris installation uses the embedded SOLR instance, running with the same JVM as teh application server. In that case the dashboard will be empty. Only external SOLR calls should be captured (a standalone SOLR serach instance beeing used).

You could send me an session file from your environment that contains (or should contain a solr) request and I can take a look at it to maybe improve the fastpack.

    Hi,

is there a possibility to "update" an already installed fixpack to the newest version. Up to now, I copied all new dashboards and measures from the new profile in the old one.

What will happen to my historical data, when I just overwrite my existing profile?

    Regards,

    Jan

      Jan,

as long as the system profile name stays the same you will not loose historical data but only if the measures are exactly the same (name) in the new and in the old profile. Unfortunately there is no easy way to selectively diff/merge and copy new configuration items from the new fastpack profile to another one.

But if you would like to have such a feature please upvote and potentially comment with your usecase on this RFE which covers such kind of configuration management.

      Thanks,
      Reinhard

        Hi Reinhard,

thank you for you answer. (smile)

I found a small error in the dashboard page class percentiles. The 25th percentile uses in fact the 50th aggregation. Maybe that is something you want to change in your next version.

I really like the new sales dashboard. That is the next level of performance management.

        Regards,

        Jan
