Sensor Rules are organized in Sensor Groups inside of a System Profile. Besides Sensor Packs, Sensor Groups are the atomic entities in Agent Group Sensor Placement and Sensor Configuration settings. It is possible to set, activate, etc. whole Sensor Groups instead of single rules.

You can create Sensor Groups from  technologies that the System Profile supports.

Sensor Rule Management

Opens the Class Browser. If there was already an AppMon Agent connected to this System Profile and classes are loaded, the Class Browser displays the class hierarchy of the SUD and lets you  select packages (assemblies) as well as classes and methods to create new Sensor Rules.
For information, see Class Browser.

Add Class...

Manually add a Class Rule (depending on the Class pattern it may also cover package or assembly rules.

Add Method...

Manually add a Method Rule. You must select a Class Rule to execute this.
Depending on the method name pattern and argument rules, this rule may cover more than one method. For example, an empty method name pattern is interpreted as all methods of a class.

Edit the selected Sensor Rule.

Delete the selected Sensor Rule.

Higher Priority

Move the Sensor Rule up by one (Increases the priority of the Rule).

Lower Priority

Move the Sensor Rule down by one (Reduces the priority of the Rule).

For information on how to manually define Sensor Rules, see Sensor Configuration.

Creating Sensor Packs

A set of rules can be packaged into a sensor pack that is available globally. You can also export this sensor pack into a .dtcs file.
