This topic describes the settings on the Agent Manager - General tab.

Type the machine name of the Agent Manager. If you experience connection problems, you may need to provide the fully-qualified name of the Agent Manager machine.
The port number (by default, 9014) of the Agent Manager. Click Test to validate the machine and port.
WebServer.xmlfile for the Agent Manager. For more information, see Modifying an Agent Manager's Ports.
Used for Agent-initiated communication, the Agent Manager's secure port. By default, 9015. If a different port number is used, specify it here. See the Note above in the description for Port.
(Optional). Select a “parent” Agent Manager, if there is one, for this Agent Manager. By default, the value is set to <None>.
For scalability, Agent Managers can be implemented with a hierarchical structure so that child Agent Managers report to a designated parent Agent Manager. All data collected by a child Agent Manager is propagated up to its parent Agent Manager and stored in the parent Agent Manager's database.For more information, see Deploying a Parent and Child Agent Manager Hierarchy.
The Agent Manager's proxy server. By default, the value is set to <none>. Select an existing proxy server, add a new server, or set this option to <none>.
The interval in which the health checks are generated. The default value of this field is 5 minutes. This field can be set from 1 minute to 60 minutes.
Enable Automatic Network Packet Report Generation
Use these options to choose how network packet reports are generated, either automatically or by request. This option is disabled by default.
When this option is enabled, the Network Packet Analysis reports are automatically generated and can be accessed immediately when you select the
Trace link in the Transaction List report in the CAS.
If this option is disabled, you can choose to generate specific Network Packet Analysis reports in the CAS. You can access Network Packet Analysis reports from the Transaction List report.
Enable Application Monitoring Diagnostic Integration
Use this option to enable Dynatrace Application Monitoring integration on all agents. Integration is off by default. Note there are additional steps required to enable the integration. For more information, see Configuring the Dynatrace Application Monitoring and Enterprise Synthetic Integration.
User Defined Data Section
Enable custom executable
Enable this option to execute a custom program specified in the Custom executable path and name field. This option requires that the full path and file name of the executable is entered correctly. For more information, see Collecting User Defined Data from Agents.
