Enterprise Synthetic provides continuous monitoring of production application performance and availability by running a set of key custom scripted transactions on an Agent machine each scheduled interval.
Scripted transactions simulate users performing transactions, using actions, such as pressing buttons, selecting menu options, and typing text.
Enterprise Synthetic installs the Agent Recorder on Agents.
The Agent Recorder is the scripting tool component of Enterprise Synthetic that is used to create visual tests or scripts that emulate end-user transactions at the desktop on Enterprise Synthetic Agent machines. Using the Agent Recorder requires you to embed open active scripting APIs into the script. For more information, see Agent Recorder Overview.
The PSscript is the preconfigured scripting tool of Enterprise Synthetic that is used to run up to 10 concurrent non-GUI PowerShell scripts on Enterprise Synthetic Agent machines. A sample script is provided showing how to incorporate the open active scripting APIs into the script.
