Retry on error is a new feature in Dynatrace Synthetic Monitoring that helps ensure accurate data for Backbone tests. If a test fails, that test is automatically rerun to validate that an error condition exists.

If an error is confirmed and the error threshold is reached, then a test failure alert is sent. If the test re-run succeeds, the failed test run is discarded and the data for the succesful run is reported.

By double-checking test failures, Retry on Error enables more accurate alerts. You can enable Retry on Error in all test failure alerts for Backbone tests.
