Hi all

Just curious about number of dependencies, which is showed in the problem description

I have a AG plugin which gets some value over REST API and if the number is higher than something, it shows the alert. Simple logic, but the problem shows huge amount of dependencies and it looks like random value.

@Wolfgang B. can you explain a little bit in details please?

It's not random value, each process / host /service /application has mutliple metrics and correlation between them. This results number of analyse dependencies 🙂

Sebastian

Here I have 2 metrics in this AG plugin without any mapping to existing entities. And 1 alerts defined within the plugin.

I dont get what to analyze here

Can you please post the screenshot again, its not properly showing up in your post. Davis dependencies analyzed does show the existing combinatoric product of monitored entities in your system that Davis has to check for connections to your problem. In case your problem is not connected to anything at all, Davis still identified that by ruling out the other monitored entities and their relationships.

Best greetings,

Wolfgang
