Here is a good link for more reading/help from Stackoverflow: &lt;A href="https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3913502/restful-call-in-java"&gt;https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3913502/restfu...&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The article is a bit old but still valid.
