Hi dynapeople!

I was making an api call aiming to extract data about hosts, but I cannot find a way to filter the host type:physical which appear to be a distinction that Dynatrace is able to do in the WebUI:

Does a criteria exist in order to filter for physicial host in ApiV2 call?

Hi @y_buccellato

IMO you will need to tag the hosts first and then use the tag filter.

Automatic tagging is missing the ability to split by host type so maybe you will need to add metadata to the hosts you want to tag.

Yes I was expecting that you can always find a workaround by enriching the metadata at host level.
I was just looking for confimation that it wasn't only my experience that I couldn't filter with "out of the box" properties and you just help me in that direction.

Ps I'm using the new feature to make math operation with metrics: it's really good! I'm so happy they introduced that in Dynatrace Api v2.
