I can see the startTime and endTime options have a maximum of range of 3 days but is there a limit to the time an entity will be shown in the Topology API if it hasnt seen any data.

Hi Ray,

The entities should follow the same 3 day (72 hour) standard for dropping out of the list returned by an API call. This is the amount of time entities hang around in the Smartscape in the UI as well.

Hi Ray, I assume this is the forum post after this you opened the support ticket. Please let the community know if the api documented here solved the issue and your used api is not supported by now.

Just to make clear, Roman, I was using the documented API and am seeing the expected behaviour (3 days of no data = API does not show entity ) I was just trying to clarify that that WAS the expected behaviour.

I just want to post an important remark here about the start time and end time and the 3 days default limit, we noticed when we do the extraction using the default 3 days we get different entity count every time even though we ran the extraction at the same time every night and we have no changes to the hosts monitored in the environment, does any experience such a case and how we can remediate this important critical issue. We appreciate sharing your experience.
