Monaco v2 download on Windows

I am using the monaco v2 rc4 version currently.

I am a big fan since we can use the settings api now. No more excuses... everything as code.

However, I think I found a bug when executing a "download" on Windows. It tries to generate folder names with a semicolon in it. Not supported on windows.

2023/02/23 15:43:44 ERROR mkdir download_2023-02-23-154342\project_400DEV\builtin:os.services.monitoring: The directory name is invalid.

I have already reported it on the github.

I guess it will be fixed in the final release of 2.0

As mentioned in the tickect they proposed to use WSL till then. I had a chance to install and discovery it (WSL). 😉

With WSL it works fine download / deploy also.
