Provide a customized Hostname for a host via API

Hi,

Do you know if it is possible to provide customized Host name for a Host via an API call? I have a customer who requires the hosts to be "renamed" for easy identification in Dynatrace, and there a lot of them. I would prefer not to rename via the GUI one at a time.

No that's not available through API as of today. Maybe you could use a host naming rule?

Thanks, unfortunately I cannot use a host naming rule, since the custom name is not a property within Dynatrace (its in a spreadsheet).
