Hi!

Is it possible to ingest a metric using v2 to an entity using the entity selector? Or is it only possible using explicit entity ids?

Only entity IDs. You can lookup those by calling the Monitored Entities API

Adding to what Julius said here, that is correct. In addition, if you wanted to query for the monitored entities - this would be done through the API here:
