Hi i want to ask about new problem page like this the problem id change to P-20114329 how to read mechanism this problem id?

And how to find previous problem wID like 439 because the problem id is change now

Hi Andra,

The new problem ID consists of the last two digits of the current year 20 followed by the month 11 and then an incremental number that resets every month. So it is easy to find out which year and month each problem happened and that it was a Problem because of the P- prefix.

The previous three digit numbers were not unique and did repeat every day, so they were not a good choice for searching a problem anyway.

The problems unique ID (the long cryptic number within the URL) of course did not change and can be used still to reference old problems.
