It might create false positives. Memory can stay up to 100% sometimes and then come down without triggering the OOM-K-I-L-L.

Regards,

Babar

Dear All,

How is the following built-in custom alert going to work for the Out of memory event? Did someone try this?

Earlier I opened the below idea to provide us a lower timeframe to evaluate the condition.

https://community.dynatrace.com/t5/Dynatrace-product-ideas/Upto-1-minute-period-or-even-less-custom-event-for-alerting/idi-p/182193

Regards,

Babar

Your doing it based off of an event count being more then 1? what if you just set a rule to alert when Memory is 100% used? granted Event or Memory, it would still alert once it was open for 1 min within any 3 min time frame. So when you have such a low open number, then the time frame period is kinda negated, you could have it set to 60 mins and it will still alert right after the 1 min is hit.
