Custom Alert for services Elasticsearch and Cassandra

Hi Guys,

Can Dynatrace open an alert for Elasticsearch if the service is down?

Or there is a configuration on Dynatrace, something like custom event API or a log monitoring?

Because previously we had issues with Elasticsearch, services were down, and there was no event alert on CMC, so I had to open the server and check that services.

Yes Dyantrace send critical problem alert if elastic search services are down. I recommend you raise a support ticket to understand why the alerts are not getting triggered to you for this situation.

Yes, it depend if you are using a High premium availability multi cluster managed node. Or simply rely on 3rd party tools or scripts to trigger SMTP or webhook alerts by cron scheduler on server.

Because on Dynatrace API v2 Settings - Schemas there is just GET on there

Here this documentation doesn't talk about elastic search service alerts. Check the elastic search part for Premium HA for multi-data centers | Dynatrace Docs, the support for elastic search is covered by Dynatrace.
