Anomaly detection configuration

Hi,

I created metric event for response time of services and I'm trying to reduce the noise from alerts.

There is an option on the metric event itself:

And there is an option on the service configuration under anomaly detesction on the settings:

Is the 2nd option is affecting the metric events or it's not related?

If it does, updating this will update the sample duration in the "sliding window"?

Hi @kobkob ,

It's not related to.
On metric event you define a monitor for an specific custom metric and you only can define static thresholds as monitoring strategy.
The anomaly detection service settings is global, so it applies to all services , and you can use static threshold or automatic as monitoring strategies.

Here you have information about sliding-window for metric events.
