Your approach seems reasonable, and yes, maintenance windows in Dynatrace can overlap. Overlapping maintenance windows are evaluated independently. If one window marks a problem as being under maintenance, it will suppress alerts regardless of other overlapping windows.
https://community.dynatrace.com/t5/Alerting/When-maintenance-windows-overlap-alerts-are-not-being-sent/m-p/125849

Good morning everybody,

I need a planned maintenance window that inhibits problems in the weekend and after 18:00 on weekdays.

Looking at the settings API, the GUI is somewhat limited, I assume I need 2 overlapping windows:

Daily after 18:00 -> 15 hours

Weekly Day of week Saturday after 00:00 -> 48 hours

Is above correct, I assume maintenance windows can overlap?

Any thoughts?

KR Henk
