Hello,

When implementing a maintenance windows, you can only use a these filters:

 [Entity Type]
 [Entity]
 [Entity Tags]
 [Management Zones]

So simple question, when I add dt.entity values in my metric, I am using "log metrics", can I also use the maintenance windows?

KR Henk

I believe you would need to tie your metric events back to an entity, which can then enable the creation of the relevant maintenance window. There are two steps to this:

Step 1: Your metric needs to include a dimension that ties back to an entity. Example: dt.entity.host dimension might indicate the host that the log originated from.

Step 2: Your metric event definition needs to be configured with a dimension key for the affected entity (see screenshot below).

It's a good practice generally to tie Davis events back to an entity, since that information is also highly useful for grouping of related events (event correlation), root cause analysis, and routing of problem notificaitons.
