Set up custom alerting for specific MySQL/MariaDB changes

Hi,

I need to set up alerts on DT to basically say if a certain criteria for MariaDB/MySQL is being met.

We currently use Datadog but we're moving away in August, we have an alert in there which monitors the Galera 'wsrep_local_state' and 'wsrep_cluster_size' to basically alert us if they drop below the threshold or if the status changes to one we don't expect.

I can't see anyway to specifically do this out of the box so looking for advice.

Hi,

First I would check if actual MySQL/MariaDB Dynatrace extension is providing those metrics already. If yes, you can use Davis Anomaly Detection app or classic metric event base on that.

Thanks Anton, I have had a look this morning but I can only see information RE pulling from logs. Ideally I need to at least have it detect a process rather than log entries.
