Many of the websites we monitor go down for a few minutes and then recover on their own. We're currently emailing our on-call support staff when the site goes down, and this is generating what turn out to be false alarms.

Is there a way to configure a rule that only sends and email if the site is still down after 5 or 10 minutes?

I think it can be done using Synthetic Http Monitor. You can for example check site every 5 minutes. If there will be down for second sample you can rise problem and alert via email.

Regards,
Sebastian
