View all Gen3 Dashboards created

Hi,

As an administrator on Dynatrace, I had the ability to see and modify all classic dashboards created by users. Is this functionality available with the Gen3 Dashboards? Is there a user policy that needs to be created to allow for this?

Hi Amit,

In order to see a Gen3 dashboard it has to be explicitly shared to you (or your group) or through an access link. There's not a policy for it yet.

Hi, Is there any roadmap for this feature being implemented anytime soon? Even though we mark the dashboard as Visible to anyone in your environment (Read only) toggle, Those dashboards are not being populated through the API call.
Either, It has to be created by me. or shared explicitly with me.

Yes, currently we plan to have a first solution ready in CQ4 with the first release going out around October /November.

Great - we absolutely would love to have such administration, helping people fix up their dashboards and general governance.

Any updates on this solution. Not being able to view/assist our users on their Gen3 dashboards without explicitly sharing it out is getting old.

Yes, there is a solution now. You can go to the Settings app (new one!) and then go to General >> Document Management and if you're admin you can see all documents (notebooks, dashboards) which exist and also claim rights to edit, share, etc.

If it does not work for you, check if you have the document:documents:admin policy added to your account.
