What kind of messages are sent between Dynatrace Managed and Mission Control?

Hi,

I know communication is based on HTTPS and encrypted via TLS 1.2

However, I would like to know what kind of messages these are. Are they based on Json or xml, for example?

And are these the same messages every 5 minutes (for license and health checks) and every 30 minutes (for updates)? Or different messages everytime?

Dynatrace Managed Cluster utilizes typically REST communication with JSON payloads exchange.

Exceptions are:

Remote Access -> utilizes Secure WebSockets protocol (WSS)
Download of updates -> binaries over HTTPS
Self-monitoring -> binary data over HTTPS
Support Archive upload -> binary data over HTTPS

There are many different messages exchanged between. Some are periodical as heartbeats every 1 minutes, some are every 5 minutes as license update, some are 15 minutes as health-checks and some are just on demand as support archive upload or SSL certificates refresh.
