Cluster Upgrade failure - IP address cluster_IP used in previous installation doesn't belong to this machine anymore

Hi All,

We are receiving the below error message while upgrade the cluster node and it's not updating so if anyone seen the same error message while upgrading? or any solution to this?

Error: Nodekeeper was not upgraded successfully, reason: Nodekeeper upgrade failed on host cluster_IP due to: Script has returned code 0 with status OK and with details: 2023-08-12 05:22:55 UTC 0 Starting Dynatrace 1.260.197.20230516-071927 installer ...
2023-08-12 05:22:59 UTC 100 Upgrade of nodekeeper failed
FAILED
IP address cluster_IP used in previous installation doesn't belong to this machine anymore.

cluster_IP - replaced with cluster IP

Has the IP of the machine changed between the previous installation/update and this one?

Hi,

Such a situation usually arises when expanding the cluster with new nodes when the first node is cloned. When performing an update, this error is very strange.

The best solution in this case will be to open a ticket in support.

Hi,

My situation is unique. The upgrade log stated that the upgrade was successful:

But after that, the cluster node is shutting down immediately:

The finding is the cluster node version is 1.314.53. It is strange because the version is 1.314.45 in Mission Control:

While the final destination version is 1.314.70:

Does it mean the automatic upgrade was expecting 1.314.70 but the actual upgrade was resulting in 1.314.53? What can we do then?
