How to explain the display of Unknown service method of custom service ?

Hello,

After adding a java method as an entry point to a custom service, I am seeing Unknown service method on the service requests view (Top Contributors).

In the code level in the purepath detail, I saw that message :

Some data could not be collected or transmitted. This is most likely due to a resource congestion on network, host or process level in your monitored environment (Diagnostic code: N0)

Can you explain this ?

In your case, this happened most likely due to adaptive traffic management and control. If there is a high load on a service, some detailed tracing data are dropped so it won't affect the monitored service itself.

That is exactly right what Julius stated. Also being that you are managed, it might be wise then to grow the resources of your clustered nodes especially if you plan to grow and add more hosts/services and processes in Dynatrace. AS this adaptive load issue might become more frequent.
