topic Application observability with Pod runtime injection in Dynatrace Managed Q&A

Hello Community

We need to set up Dynatrace application observability on the OpenShift cluster using “runtime injection” of the pods (because unfortunately there is no other option in our environment at the moment). The instructions https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/installation-k8s-pod-runtime
state that with cgroup v2, only metrics of the pod (builtin:containers.*) are sent if it is running a single container. Does anyone in the community know if Dynatrace is working on removing this limitation in the near future?
It would be great if we also had the metrics (CPU, memory) from the pod with runtime injection, regardless of whether a container is running.

Best regards
Urs
