Connect to Dynatrace Managed environment through mobile app

Dear Community, Can someone please help me in connecting dynatrace managed environment through mobile application?

Whenever, I am scanning the barcode after generation. it says environment is offline. We have dynatrace behind our VPN. we have added active gate url in firewall for outgoing traffic and connecting dyntrace though vpn in mobile too but still i am having the same issue.

Active gate url: https://dynatrace-cluster-ag.myorgname.com.sa:9999/rest/health

Note: myorgname added due to security reason.

Scanning the barcode by generating it(blurred due to security)

Our monitoring people says that I need to create a loadbalancer with the activegate url/host(dynatrace-cluster-ag.myorgname.com.sa) and put active gate nodes behind the LB. Does it solve the issue?

Hi,

Verify that none of the network policies in the company are blocking traffic for the ActiveGate. This is the most common cause of communication issues in this configuration.

If the Cluster ActiveGate is exposed to the Internet, it must be reachable under the address you have set in the CMC console, see an example below.

You may want to setup a load balancer in front of the cluster activegate(s), but that's optional. The cluster activegate address must be reachable from the mobile app.

Also be sure to check the URL from a browser on the same mobile device.

It performs some tests, from the mission control as well as internally from the cluster if the endpoints are accessible.

Be sure to check if the address https://dynatrace-cluster-ag.....com.sk:9999/rest/health is accessible from your mobile device.

@Julius_Loman Thanks, for you valuable inputs. I just got to know that our network team setup a public load balancer with the url https://dynatrace-cluster-ag.....com.sa

which is listening on 443 and the traffic is being forwarded to the port 9999 internally. So I just queried this loadbalancer from my mobile browser(see the screenshot) without the vpn and without 9999 port, its working, But how can make the mobile application not query the port 9999 after scanning the barcode?

You need to update the URL for Cluster ActiveGate in the CMC. (see my screenshot above)

AG url is with 443 only in cmc.

What exactly do you have in the cluster activegate url?
