There is no option in automatically applied tagging rule to propagate tags from service to service. However, it can be a very important option to have for tagging database services, giving the fact they are captured on application service side.

Our management zone rules rely on tags. ATM, it is very painful to manually tag the database services for an application in the scenarios such that multiple applications(MZ) access one database service, or one application accesses multiple database services.

Right now you can use automatic tagging rules for databases, but tags cannot be applied by relationships. I agree with the fact, that it is difficult to maintain. Automatic tagging rule such as "database service used by any service with tag XYZ" would be awesome.

Did you come up with some workaround? I was thinking about API, but I cant find any way to loop through the related services, and even if possible, cant tag them based on that anyway...

this is marked as the solution but nothing i find in the tool shows we can do this today. To your knowledge is this available now as function?
