Oneagent SDK Python - Support Alpine

Hello,

I have read this blog post about autodynatrace which help to instrumente Python code automatically. (https://github.com/dynatrace-oss/OneAgent-SDK-Python-AutoInstrumentation)

You currently doesn't support Alpine with Dynatrace SDK so we can't use this SDK. Is there any plan to support Alpine ? Or any other way to instrument python web app on alpine ?

It seems to be very interesting but we can't use it as we use mainly Alpine OS.

Hi,

there are no immediate plans for supporting OneAgent SDK Python on Alpine Linux.

You could raise an issue on the GitHub repository for that. That way you would get notified if work is picked up in that area.

I already created a ticket on github a few months ago : https://github.com/Dynatrace/OneAgent-SDK-for-Python/issues/17

Do we have another way to instrument Python on alpine ? As it is blocking for us. We can't monitor our python app currently.
