What is the equivalent appmon custom sensor creation in Dynatrace Managed

We need to instrument a batch program in Dynatrace Managed. Because of the uniqueness of batch programs it was always necessary in appmon to create a custom sensor to specify where the purepath should begin (i.e. what class & method it should begin at). Can someone let me know what is the equivalent to doing that in Dynatrace Managed.

You will have to use the define custom services.
