I have question how to merged databases, because we have databases and split 3 databases with condition same IP

Database services can unfortunately not be merged like web request services for example.

Only way is to check what's the difference on the 3 services (e.g. database hostname used) and change that in your application.

This is a huge limitation that still can not be fixed 5 years later...

What's really frustrating is not only that we can't customize the rules for DB services and/or merge them together, it's also that the built-in rules are case sensitive. So, even if everything in some service's connection strings are identical, but a single letter has a different case between the two, Dynatrace will classify those as different databases...

I mean, even if they fixed the case sensitivity piece, that wouldn't fix our issue because we have older apps that use older DNS names for database instances, but still. It would at least cut down on some of the needless duplication.

We have some databases where we have 6 or 7 separate services for the same exact database.... It makes reporting on our database health in Dynatrace very difficult, and it's just not reasonable to expect really large companies with dozens and dozens and dozens of different development teams that are managing applications that have been built over the course of many years to go back and edit all of their connection strings across all of their various services...

I really hope the ability to customize this within Dynatrace is coming soon. I just don't understand why we can't customize detection rules for Database requests the same as we customize them for any other kind of request...
