Based on my experience, you cannot use the process detection rules for non-instrumented processes. It never worked for me (e.g. - arbitrary binaries).

I highly recommend setting the DT_CLUSTER_ID variable to properly categorize these processes into process groups you want them to be part of.

I'm looking to get the execution path (binary path) for a non-Java process in order to properly group my processes together. I 'could' use process naming and process detection rules to properly group these together if I had this value, but I can't see if Dynatrace is capturing it or not. When I do the dropdown for the 'properties and tags' section it's not present.

Does this mean DT isn't capturing it?
