Hi Andre

It all depends on what your customer is interested in and how the MFT application is working exactly.

For instance if the MFT application is written in .NET or Java, OneAgent could provide some technical metrics about the JVM/CLR and maybe even capture some useful application traces.

The application may also expose interesting metrics using an API, which could than be ingested into Dynatrace, for instance:

- number of transfers

- transfer size

- ...

Best regards

Stijn Bienkens

Hi,

Our customer asked us what can Dynatrace provide if we installed OneAgent into their MFT (Managed File Transfer) server and to be honest I've never had an experience or knowledge about this application. Does anyone in here have the experience monitoring MFT server? What kind of metrics that we get from OneAgent?

Thanks.

Andre

We are looking to find options other than Nastel for a monitoring tool replacement for MFT and MQ Queue Manage software. Is there any further development on this? I do see there is an extension for IBM MQ but do not see one for MFT as of yet.
