On documentation I can see that complete restart is need to monitor IHS web server but what for Tomcat? The Dynatrace UI tell me that a restart is necessary but on documentation is not specifyed.

Actually every type of process that will be instrumented by dynatrace needs restart. With tomcat is exactly the same. Dynatrace has to browse classes from jvm on start, instrument them and return to jvm. This can be done initially only during restart.

Regards,
Sebastian
