    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hey, Michael!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Would the &lt;A href="https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/shortlink/built-in-metrics#other-process-metrics" target="_self"&gt;Process Availability %&lt;/A&gt; metric suit your needs?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If that's so, you could query this metric with the API v2 just like any other metric: with the added bonus of being able to add it to dashboards, alerts, SLOs, etc... &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you want to maintain a proactive solution, and be alerted when a specific process goes down, you should consider activating Process Availability at the &lt;A href="https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/platform-modules/infrastructure-monitoring/process-groups/monitoring/process-group-availability-monitoring-and-alerting" target="_self"&gt;Process Group settings level.&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this helps!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Get process status/availability via API v2</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I would like to know if a process on my server is up and running or down. Can I check this via the API v2? When I get my process via the entityId I do not find such info.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Kr&lt;BR /&gt;Michael&lt;/P&gt;</description>
