Why are Webinars and University videos not able to be paused or seek sections in content?

I have been watching these videos and was interrupted and attempted to pause the video momentarily. Then when I resumed watching the video, it started from the beginning again???? I tried to FF to the last part where I paused previously and again the video started from beginning. I looked within all controls in the viewer and nothing.

What the heck is going on here? Why would these basic features be blocked or disabled?

Hello,

I don't have any start/stop problems. Maybe you are using a web browser with some specific plugins? On my computer everything works fine in Chrome and Safari.
