Calculated metric sooner available than underlying buildin:metric?

Hellom

I have created a calculated metric, basically a filtered buildin:metric.

E.g. count all with a value below .etc.

Looking at the dashboard containing both, it sometimes shows the count in the calculated metric is higher then the original count, when using a short time view (-5m)

Could it be that the calculated metric is available before the original metric?

Hi @henk_stobbe

It is likely that calculated metrics use different spaces in Casandra or involve different ranges of data, and that is where the minimal difference may come from. Remember, however, that Dynatrace can assemble metrics and visualize up to 4 minutes. This is where the small discrepancy may come from. It does not affect the actual perception of how your system works.

Thanks for your answer, to give you an impression how this looks:

Above shows (in last 5 min frame) total requests 330, number of requests below 2,5s 388. You will agree this does not look nice (-;

So better not use the -5m in these cases?
