Hi All,

We have implemented generic DB queries in our environment customer has can up with a requirement for a single queries if we can plot below metric and enable alerting for it. Can any one please help me on it.

I/O Requests (per second)
I/O latency
I/O Megabytes per Second
SQL Service Response Time
Network Traffic Volume Per Sec
Temp Space Used

Hi @Vikas_g199

You define the thresholds for a specific metric (if you do not want to rely on automatic ones) in the Metric Event.

In the next step you need to define the Alerting Profile and the integration method (e.g. e-mail)

Thanks your reply can you please confirm below metrics to be plotted on dashboard and create alerting for Generic DB query.

I/O Megabytes per Second

Network Traffic Volume Per Sec
