      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello there, I think this applies when you need to define a custom process group detection rule to encapsulate the metrics that your newly created extension reports to Dynatrace. You can even add topology data and create new process groups from the extension itself using this Custom Configuration, however it is complementary to the metrics definition and not a requirement for all.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/extension-customize" target="_self"&gt;https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/extension-customize&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Best regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;JD&lt;/P&gt;</description>
