topic Addition of Request Attribute Filter in Dynatrace Dashboard in Open Q&A

Hello,

I am trying to create a dashboard by adding Request Attribute as Filter, but it is not filtering the data based on the request attribute header value.

Also, I am trying to query the same using Metrics V2 REST API endpoint and using a builtin metric for my use-case. I want to filter data based on the Request Attribute.

Any idea how this can be achieved?

Thank you!

This will be mostly only present on the trace/service. You can select the RA on the services page and as a result you can pin that to a dashboard:

However, on the classic dashboards you cannot use a dashboard filter that looks at the RA of the given services. The closest we can get for you is the service filter then post as a tile.

I have tossed in a RFE for you on this functionality: https://community.dynatrace.com/t5/Product-ideas/Request-Attribute-as-a-Dashboard-Filter/idi-p/248380
