Dynatrace support for AIX 7.2

Hi,

End of support announcements - Dynatrace Docs

Per above link, IBM AIX 7.2 TL5 is no more supported by Dynatrace. Can someone pls confirm?

Hi @SrikanthSamraj,

I always check if the SO system is supported in the Dynatrace Technology Support documentation. For IBM AIX 7.2, support has ended. Maybe you can consider other options to monitor your applications and infrastructure, such as:

Infrastructure: Extension
Applications and Services: Use OneAgent SDK if possible, or otherwise, use OTel for instrumentation.

In the link provided by @SrikanthSamraj, It says that the version has a vendor end of support date in November 2023, but I can't find confirmation of this in the IBM documentation :

So I'm curious to know where Dynatrace got this information and whether it's valid or not?

Hi, @GerardJ - when I submitted a product ticket and probed further with oneagent development team and testing myself installing/upgrading oneagents on AIX 7.2 TL5, looks like it is supported still.

I have asked them to update the doc, they said they're going to look into it but not sure on the timelines as of now.
