topic Process "Oneagent System monitoring” memory consumption in Open Q&A

I installed OneAgent and restarted the OS. I checked the status of OneAgent and noticed that the process "OneAgent system monitoring" was consuming 1.34GB of memory. In my experience, the OneAgent process was less than 200MB. After further investigation, I found that there were 8 application server (Websphere) processes running. I would like to hear the opinions of people who have had a similar experience.
Details of the system to which the system is installed are as follows.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.6 + WebSphere Application Server (9.0.5.15) + Apache HTTP Server (9.0.5.15)

Hi @Shirai,

I think it is not normal.

At several clinets we had 10-20 application servers / hosts with less than 200MB memory consumption of OneAgent system monitoring. We had an OneAgent system moniotring memory issues with another IBM product: IBM AIX. Of course it is a little bit different story. During the ticket lifetime Dynatrace and IBM close cooperation we colud solve the issue. IBM corrected the issue (AIX memory leak) in a service pack based on Dynatrace support request.

You should also raise a support ticket and provide the details to the support.

I hope it helps.

Best regards,

Mizső

Hi Mizső-san.

I also feel that this is an abnormal condition. I will open a support ticket and investigate the cause.
Thank you for your reply.

I have submitted a support ticket to investigate this issue. As a result, I was able to resolve this issue by updating OneAgent (1.295.55 to 1.295.70).
