Can we change the frequency for Fortinet devices

We just have the situation with one of our customers where we have configured Fortinet FortiGate Firewall extensions and It’s been noticed that service account has very aggressive login attempts . Can we reduce it to needed and optimised parameter or is there any option available to set the frequency for this

Hi @Abidyaseen , I think the data collection frequency for this extension is fixed at one minute . Please try contacting Dynatrace support, they might have a workaround for this.

Hello @Abidyaseen

On the FortiGate extension configurations, enable verbose logs keep it for one day

Then Run Dynatrace ActiveGate diagnostics on the AGs where the extension is installed, download the support archive.
Extract the Support archive and analyze the logs located under \COLLECTOR\0x000000005797db0e\remotepluginmodule\log\extensions\datasources\com.dynatrace.extension.fortigate.

Dynatrace extensions are, for the ones I know, fixed at 1 minute interval. This is something that has been repeatadly asked for to change, so might change eventually very soon.

In the cases for my clients that really needed it, we redid the extensions, with the appropriate frequency. It does result though in a new extension...
