      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN data-contrast="auto"&gt;OpenPipeline doesn’t result in extra cost for the ingested data. Ingested, retained and queried data is charged according to the rate card of the customer. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;I&gt;&lt;SPAN data-contrast="auto"&gt;Note: If a processing rule is dropping/filtering out data, ingest is charged, as the data has already reached the Dynatrace platform and incurs processing resources..&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/I&gt;&lt;SPAN data-contrast="auto"&gt; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN data-ccp-props="{&amp;quot;335559685&amp;quot;:360}"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN data-contrast="auto"&gt;Ingest volume is calculated when a data record reaches Dynatrace – which is happening before the OpenPipeline processing starts. Retain volume is depended on the size of the record as it lands in Grail.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN data-contrast="auto"&gt;There’s no difference regarding cost between DPS or classic licensing. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
